Well, this is a great way to start a Wednesday.
We just received word that Neighborhood Comics is a nominee for the 2023 Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award! Each year, industry peers nominate shops that they feel embody the best of comics retail. The top 25 stores receive official nominations and a request for more information on how the store presents itself and spreads the joy of comic books with its community.
What makes this super cool for us is being in the company of past nominees like our friends at Books with Pictures, Cape and Cowl, Space Cadets Collection Collection and Zeppelin Comics.
The award is presented under the auspices of Comic-Con International: San Diego, and is given to an individual retailer who has done an outstanding job of supporting the comics art medium both in the community and within the industry at large. The winner will be announced on July 21 at Comic-Con San Diego. We are humbled by the nomination and are thankful for our staff, customers and community for making this possible.
